The 1st XV get their National League Div 1 campaign back underway with an away trip to Glasgow Accies RFC, in what will be a tough tie. Accies currently sit in 3rd place in the league, with Highland sat in 7th. Securing an away win against Accies side would be a massive coup for the Highland lads who will be looking to create some breathing room between themselves and the three teams in the relegation zone.  

The Raptors host our version of a local derby when they host “near” neighbours Ross Sutherland at Canal Park. The Raptors will have been disappointed that the weather postponed their top of the table clash against Mackie last week.  But they’ll be determined to show the same form they showed last time out when they beat Aberdeenshire 82-12 back on 14th December. Having said that they know they’ll face a motivated opposition in Ross Sutherland, who only lost out  15-24 up in Invergordon back in October. 

The 3XV are also on the road this weekend on a lengthy trip to Pickaquoy, Kirkwall, to take on Orkney RFC 2nd XV. They’ll be hoping to put in a better performance against the Orkney lads then they did they went down 20-43 at Canal Park, a game that was closer than the score suggests.

Both of our U18 Boys Teams  – the Eagles and Falcons – start their Saltire Energy Caledonia Cup / Shield & Bowl / Plate competitions this weekend after missing out last week due to the weather.

The Eagles are hosting Mackie U18 Boys in the Cup/Shield at Canal Park with a 1pm KO. 

The Falcons fine themselves heading to Invergordon to take on Ross Sutherland U18 boys in the Bowl / Plate competition.
