GHK RFC P-P Highland RFC
Highland Women 57-00 Moray Women
Highland 2XV 45-20 Caithness RFC
Highland 3XV 48-10 Stornoway RFC
So after a tough couple of weeks, we have had a great day for our senior teams at Canal Park.
The 1st XV had an enforced, but probably welcome day off, as their game away to GHK was postponed yesterday due to a frozen pitch.
However the Highland women’s team and the men’s 2nd & 3rd XV were all playing at Canal Park.
Unfortunately I have no match reports on this occasion.
Home advantage seems to count for something, the Senior teams results were as follows:
Highland Women 57-00 Moray Rugby Club Women
Highland RFC 2XV 45-20 Caithness Rugby FC
Highland RFC 3rd XV 48-10 Stornoway Rugby Football Club
My understanding is that the ladies have completed their league programme, and that this result confirms that they will finish top of the table, and win the title in their first season of competitive league rugby. More to follow…..
I also understand that full time in the womens game was called early due to an injury to a Moray player. We hope the Moray player is OK and wish them a speedy recovery.
Elsewhere we had a boys U15/16 Combined team travel to Shetland, coming away with a win in their league fixture.
Our U18 Boys also had a lengthy trip to Ayr, but unfortunately lost out to an Ayr/Wellinton side in the Boy’s U18 National Youth Shield Semi-Final.
