Back on the field after nearly 2 months
Exciting news for our Ladies team.
With the winter weather and dark nights, it’s been challenging to keep everyone engaged without the prospect of games. It’s been nearly two months since our ladies’ last game, away to Shetland on December 8th, in what has undoubtedly been a disjointed season so far.
This weekend, our ladies’ team finally gets the chance to put their hard work and dedication over the last seven weeks to the test. They kick off their National Shield (Women’s) tournament away to Strathmore RFC Women, marking their first encounter with the Forfar side.
This is the first of three games in their Shield group, followed by two home games: Sunday, February 16th against Greenock Wanderers RFC Women , and Saturday, March 1st against local rivals Inverness Craig Dunain RFC Women.
The fixture details are below.
Keep an eye out on our social media channels for the squad announcement later on this week.
If you’re a Highland Rugby follower or exile in the Forfar area on Sunday, come down and show your support for our fantastic women’s team!
