Helping children through sport!
Volunteer Zambia is an international sport programme run by the Wallace Group – a collaboration between leading UK ‘sport’ universities, including St. Andrews University & Stirling University in Scotland.
The Wallace Group and the “sports” universities support and work with the leading Zambian sports Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO) , Sport in Action. Together, they use sport to engage, educate and empower young people in Zambia and the UK.
Highland RFC’s new kit supplier, Macron Sports Hub in Dundee, currently collates any donations for these worthwhile causes and students from St Andrew’s University deliver the strips to Zambia, when they are volunteering.
Highland are delighted to be associated with this really worthwhile charity!
Featured in the picture above are William Richmond from Macron (L) and Duncan Caithness from St Andrew’s University (R) who is heavily involved in the project in Zambia.
