This week we received the news that Aberdeen Grammar 2nd XV has voluntarily withdrawn from Tennent’s Caledonia Regional Division 2 North with immediate effect.
Unfortunately, they found themselves in the position whereby they could not guarantee the availability of players and rather than cause the league to run on indefinitely in order to catch up on rescheduled fixtures, they decided in the best interest of the league and out of respect to all other clubs to withdraw from the competition.
NCR 9.1 has been enacted:
9 CLUBS DISQUALIFIED, SUSPENDED OR WITHDRAWING
9.1 If a Club is disqualified, suspended, or voluntarily withdraws from a league after the start of the season, the results of all Matches played by that team shall be deleted and the positions in the division shall be established from the Matches played between the remaining Clubs.
