🦅🏉💚❤️ Tough day at the office for 1XV, Boys U18 Eagles come from behind to beat Mackie U18’s.

1XV: Boroughmuir v Highland

The 1XV had a first half to forget at Meggetland, with Boroughmuir securing the try bonus before half time which left the score at 29-3.

Highland roused themselves in the 2nd half, with Hugo Crush scoring a try, which Scott Fraser converted.

Calum MacPherson celebrated his 50th 1XV cap with a barnstorming run to score under the posts, Scott landed the conversion again.

Adriu Muritoki scored our 3rd try wide left, and Scott couldn’t land the difficult conversion.

Mean while Boroughmuir kept responding – keeping Highland at arms length from the win.

Highland were adamant they had scored a 4th try, which could have given us a try bonus, through Scuba Murray. The referee was unsighted and restarted with a scrum and the chance to come away with something from the game was gone.

Boys U18 Eagles: Mackie U18 v Highland U18 Eagles

As for our U18 lads, they travelled to Mackie in the Saltire Energy Cup.

Brian Knowles reported that Highland Eagles came from 10-0 down at half time to secure the 17-19 win against Mackie. This result puts cup qualification back on track !
